A note from Mayor Funkhouser

Dear Friend,

The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund is 130 years old this
year and continues to spread the Christmas spirit to
children, families and seniors in need all across our
great city.

Rob Riggle

When I, along with our celebrity tree lighter, Rob Riggle
of The Daily Show, flip the switch on the 7,200 lights that adorn one of the tallest Christmas trees in the nation, we
will be celebrating our city’s long history of helping our
fellow citizens.

But just as the needs of our less fortunate brethren won’t
end with the tree lighting ceremony, our mission can’t end
there either.

We must continue the circle of giving. We must remember that those in need aren’t just in need at Christmas. That is why after this holiday season our tree will be recycled to make ornaments that will be sold to benefit next year’s
program. And that’s why we need your help now and throughout the year.

If you can, please donate now. Your generous tax-deductible gift will be
enormously appreciated and will do tremendous good in our community.

Thank you sincerely,

Mayor Mark Funkhouser
